i cant turn off iMessage and select SMS on and send text messages

Can't send texts without turning iMessage on

Ckuan, thank you for your response. However, I am aware you can leave iMessage on to send SMS Text messages but it may/can use data on your wireless carrier when you select iMessage. If you turn off iMessage, then no text messages can be sent at all. In cases when I'm traveling on the road with no wifi available, I don't want to use Cellular Data for texts., which iMessage requires you to do and it won't differentiate between iMessage & text messages in all cases. Why not allow the iPhone user to turn off iMessage in those situations?

I have also an issue regarding imessage and facetime. I have never activated these apps yet i kept on receiving message every minute saying i may be charged for sms used to activate imessage and the same with facetime. I followed already the instructions told me using the settings yet to no avail. Are there other option to fix this bug? Its really annoying. Tnx
