Fake??

Anyone else receive an email from AppleID (service@westgatespace.com) Is it a fake. It was from a game purchase on July 22, 2017.

It's fake. Westgatespace.com has nothing to do with Apple Computer


Identifying fraud

If you received an email claiming to be from Apple Computer with charges you do not recognize or with requests to provide or change personal information DO NOT click on any links or respond to it.


Avoid phishing emails, fake ‘virus‘ alerts, phony support calls, and other scams

Change the Email associated with the ID if you wish to remove the email in use:

The same thing happened to me this morning from service@westgatespace.com. Said I needed to verify my identity or I would lose my account forever basically. Unfortunately I typed my social security number and address and hit next before realizing it was fraud when it came to the credit card page - I use PayPal, not a credit card. Then had to open a 90 day fraud alert on my info just in case. Also upon sending a nasty email back to them the link was then disconnected. The strange thing was the website started with "applied.apple.com" so I have no idea how they did it. But after going back through again it let me use a random password and none of the links on the page worked. I hope these people rot in ****
