I received an email (Billing Fraud) Recent Purchase Confirmation asking me to log into my apple account to provide info for something I did not order. It said that click on the link LOGIN and cancel the transaction ... Pls advise

I have rec an email dated 21.7.17 [Billing Fraud} from apple store indicating I have made a purchase which I did not order. The email request to verify account info by clicking the login link.

Does it mean I have been charged? Before that I have already been warned that someone has tried to access my account and I have changed my password. Yet I still receive Billing Fraud .

Could someone tell me what is going on?

Phishing emails :

Phishing and similar emails : Phishing & Other Suspicious Emails

Genuine iTunes emails : Identifying legitimate emails from the iTunes Store - Apple Support

Viewing an iTunes account's purchase history : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store - Apple Support (on an iOS device you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com)

You could forward it to Apple : reportphishing@apple.com , and then delete it.

If it's a phishing attempt and you clicked on the link in the email and entered your account id and password then change your password immediately

Have you checked the email to see if it's a genuine email and not a phishing email ? If you don't know how to do that read previous replies.

so I would like my $39.98 back in full or I going to my bank on Monday and filing a FRUALDULENT ACTIVITY ON MY ACCOUNT!!

If it is a genuine email you already know (or would if you had read replies on this thread) that we are just fellow users and that nobody on here can potentially refund you.

The e-mail says to click customer support to get a full refund. That is baloney. I have clicked on this several times and gotten nothing but a web page with a bunch of junk on it. Itr certainly is not as represented. That statement is as bad as the e-mail of something I did not order. You must make a lot of money with all the difficulties that are involved to find a space to get an honest answer.

As difficult as all this is, I probably won't hear from you. When I saw the replies that had been sent to you, I saw that I was not the only one with a problem

My email looked very official. It even had apple.com in the link, but it was not the real reporting link as just a few letters were changed in the address. I logged into the official site and the purchase does not show up. They were certainly wanting to get my Apple ID. They said my brother purchased a song using my credit card. My brother said he never made the purchase, and it is not in my real list of purchases etc.

Apple people

I too received a suspicious order confirmation from the email address listed below. According to this confirmation we ordered Mobile Legend: Bang Bang 1500 Diamonds for $29.99. I can say for a fact that we DID NOT order that software. The copyright of the mail names Apple Distribution International, Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland.

We will not be paying this bogus bill on a bogus order.

Please clearly publish on your website easily locatable contact data of consumer protection agencies to whom we can report these ********.

Further I would like the real Apple to pursue these frauds and stomp them out.
