How to lock iphone 6s plus screen in landscape mode?

How do I lock my iphone 6s plus screen in landscape mode?

I like to read books and articles on my iphone in landscape mode while lying down. The screen always automatically rotates to portrait mode whenever I lean to the side to rest my arm after holding the phone straight for too long. It's driving me nuts that I can never read while lying down (and lean to the side).

Why do apple NOT have this feature for iphones?

Anyone knows any trick to keep the screen locked in lanscape mode , please help!!! Thank you

I am afraid you can only lock the screen in portrait mode, you can do this by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and selecting the lock button to lock the screen in portrait so when you're lying down on your side it won't turn to landscape.

EDIT: Which side of your body do you lay on when reading, because I may have a solution.

but, I still desperately want to know if there is a way for me to lock the screen in landscape mode.

Reading in portrait mode hurts my eyes a lot.

Reading in landscape mode is a lot easier and more comfortable for me. I wish Apple could add this option (lock screen sideway) to phone in the next IOS update.

Try putting the device in to landscape mode, holding the top of the device in your right hand and the bottom of the device where the home button is in your left hand and see if that works when lying down, I believe it will work as the device should not want to go upside down.
