"[movie] was not copied to the iPhone [name] because it cannot be played on this iPhone

So i downloaded a movie on my PC to transfer it onto my iPhone using iTunes. So i go through the normal process of syncing it and after its done it says "[movie] was not copied to the iPhone [name] because it cannot be played on this iPhone" I already checked to see if it was MP4 and it was so i don't know what else to do. Would anyone know a way on how to fix it?

iPhone 7, iOS 10.3.2

Use VLC or Infuse Pro 5.

They can play any video file and have several ways of copying the videos into the app (methods explained inside the app).
