Verification Required Loop

Whenever I try to download any app, (paid and free), after confirming with my Touch ID, I'm asked to verify my account. With only the option to cancel or continue. Once continuing, I get sent to a page to view my billing info. I had tried multiple times to input my card details, yet it for some reason doesn't accept. I had resigned to selecting 'None' instead of 'credit/debit card'. I click the 'Done' at the top off the screen. I am then brought back to the page where I tried to download the initial app, where I am prompted to give my Touch ID again. As before, i am asked to verify my account. I then keep going through the loop of signing in, verification, signing in , and verification.


Hope this is descriptive enough for you to understand my problem.

I have the same obnoxious problem. None of the solutions fixed this. It is maddening. Can’t download or update ANYTHING

I've been messing with this issue for the past 2 months now. Try having this with a corporate account with about 300 iphones. So far all I can say is our Sprint rep is looking into the cost of Androids because nothing seems to work. The only thing I can get to work is logging into a totally new account "AFTER" I wipe the phone back to default as if it were a new phone. If you log in with the same apple id you get the same annoying loop.

Thanks for reaching out via the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I understand that you are unable to download from the App Store. When you try, you are prompted to verify your billing information. Once done with that, you're taken through the purchase steps again, and are once again prompted to verify billing information. This leaves you stuck in a loop. I'd be happy to help!


First, quit the App Store app using the steps here: Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch . Then restart your iPhone following the instructions in this article: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch . After the iPhone is back on, try downloading an app again.

If you still get brought through the verification steps and are unable to move past it, the next suggestion I have is to sign out of the iTunes and App Store, then sign back in. You can do that using instructions here: Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch . Even though the article is about signing in with a different Apple ID, the steps are the same to sign out and back in with the same Apple ID.

I would also recommend trying a different internet connection if the issue persists. If you're using cellular data, try Wi-Fi. If you're already on Wi-Fi, switch to cellular data, or find another Wi-Fi network to try.
