If you click on this: If your Apple ID is locked or disabled - Apple Support you don't see anything?

For your convenience, here is the complete contents of that page:

If your Apple ID is locked or disabled

If you or someone else enters your password, security questions, or other account information incorrectly too many times, your Apple ID automatically locks to protect your security and you can't sign in to any Apple services. You can unlock your Apple ID after you verify your identity.

If your Apple ID is locked for security reasons, you might see one of these alerts:

  • “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons”
  • "You can't sign in because your account was disabled for security reasons"
  • "This Apple ID has been locked for security reasons"
When you see one of these alerts, you can go to iforgot.apple.com to unlock your account with your existing password or to reset your password. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to unlock your account, your Apple ID will remain locked and you can try again the next day.If you use two-factor authentication, you need a trusted device or trusted phone number to unlock your Apple ID. And if you have a recovery key, you can use it to help you regain access to your account. If you see a message that is different from the alerts above and you can't reset your password, contact us for help.

After you change your password, you might need to update it in your iCloud settings and in any Apple services that you sign in to with your Apple ID. Learn more about your Apple ID and where you can use it.

I can log in with my user name and password. Although, I can not update my APPS or purchase additional icloud storage space.

I contacted Apple several months ago regarding this matter. Apple stated the would need to reset my phone and Apple would send me an email stating "I could reset my password". I followed all instructions correctly and I'm still unable to updates my APPS or purchase icloud storage space and or any other matters relating to purchasing or updating.

I would appreciate your assistance as I've never backed up this iphone and my fear is everything on my phone will me lost.

Thank you,

This is a user to user forum, it is not a way to contact Apple. If your phone is locked with an Apple ID that is not yours the only possible solution is to find the person who locked it with that ID. There is no other possible way to resolve your problem. If it is locked with an ID that is not yours you did not buy this phone new, so having an invoice for a used phone is not going to help.

You have provided a link that just repeats what Apple's support articles, already posted to this thread, explain. Perhaps it was to drive traffic to the website?

Anyway, to readers of this thread there is no need to click on that link; Apple's own support instructions can be found throughout the thread, most notably right at the top of every page in the posted marked "Apple Recommended."

Your phone will be disabled if there are more than a certain number of failed attempts to enter the screen unlock passcode. The number is around 15, but it will make you wait longer and longer times after 6 tries. And if you have erase after 10 tries that will lock it on the 10th failed try.

The only way to undisable it is to restore the phone using iTunes as described in the link in the Apple Recommended post at the top this page. After restoring the phone you can restore your most recent backup to get back your content.

If the phone says it is disabled you need a computer with the latest version of iTunes AND a SIM card. The card does not have to be currently active, but it does have to be for the carrier the phone is locked to if it is carrier-locked. See this Apple support article—>If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support
