If you click on this: If your Apple ID is locked or disabled - Apple Support you don't see anything?

For your convenience, here is the complete contents of that page:

If your Apple ID is locked or disabled

If you or someone else enters your password, security questions, or other account information incorrectly too many times, your Apple ID automatically locks to protect your security and you can't sign in to any Apple services. You can unlock your Apple ID after you verify your identity.

If your Apple ID is locked for security reasons, you might see one of these alerts:

  • “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons”
  • "You can't sign in because your account was disabled for security reasons"
  • "This Apple ID has been locked for security reasons"
When you see one of these alerts, you can go to iforgot.apple.com to unlock your account with your existing password or to reset your password. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to unlock your account, your Apple ID will remain locked and you can try again the next day.If you use two-factor authentication, you need a trusted device or trusted phone number to unlock your Apple ID. And if you have a recovery key, you can use it to help you regain access to your account. If you see a message that is different from the alerts above and you can't reset your password, contact us for help.

After you change your password, you might need to update it in your iCloud settings and in any Apple services that you sign in to with your Apple ID. Learn more about your Apple ID and where you can use it.

This happened to me too and many others in this forum. In settings, click your Apple ID and check payment information. Someone may have added a credit card (not yours) to your account. Scammers do this to test stolen cards. Apple may have disabled your account to protect you. You have to remove the card and contact iTunes support to have them reactivate your Apple ID.

Hello:

I can log in with my user name and password. Although, I can not update my APPS or purchase additional icloud storage space.

I contacted Apple several months ago regarding this matter. Apple stated the would need to reset my phone and Apple would send me an email stating "I could reset my password". I followed all instructions correctly and I'm still unable to updates my APPS or purchase icloud storage space and or any other matters relating to purchasing or updating.

I would appreciate your assistance as I've never backed up this iphone and my fear is everything on my phone will me lost.

Thank you,

This is a user-to-user forum, Apple does not participate. If you cannot make purchases but can log in that means that there isn't a valid payment method in your iTunes account. You must provide a payment method by logging in to your account and adding or updating the payment method. Here are some tips for doing so:

Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID - Apple Support

Change or remove your Apple ID payment information - Apple Support

If your payment method is declined, or you have a billing issue in the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support

You may also have a balance due in your account. For that you may need to contact Apple directly, as instructed in the last link above.

Well, that explains it. When you deal with a reputable merchant you should bring any disputes to the merchant for resolution. If you dispute the charge through your card issuer or bank the merchant has to pay a substantial penalty, which will make it unlikely that they will want to do business with you again.

Apple has mechanisms for requesting review of a charge, and a way to see what the charge was for. You didn’t use those procedures, which is the cause of your problem. For the future, here are some helpful links:

For your immediate problem see this Apple support article—>If you see a message that says 'Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes' - Apple Support. That article includes a link to discuss the issue with an iTunes store representative who can help you resolve it.

ANSWER I got the problem solved only through Apple. The Apple reps were really nice and helpful, but they couldn’t fix it themselves. They had to transfer me to a “Technical Department “ Guy who was not exactly courteous. But he fixed it and told me that “if it happens three times, Apple closes my account!” Some nerve since I don’t even know what happened.
