Bootcamp & Turbo boost Macbook Pro 2017

Hi everybody,

I'm engineer and need to process big numerical models on Windows with Boot Camp.

I had a 2016 MBP 2,9 GHz up to 4,0 GHz (turbo boost). Usually, while processing models, the speed went almost 4,0 GHz. That is, turbo boost worked fine and I was very satisfied with the Apple's notebook.

Last month, I decided to migrate to a new 2017 MBP 3,1 GHz up to 4,1 GHz. I thought that I would get a little bit increase of performance. But, unfortunatelly, the performance decreased. Why? Processing the same models, the speed now is up to 3,0 GHz. That is, turbo boost doesn't work!

I want to know if somebody has the same problem. Is there a solution to the turbo boost works on Boot Camp at new 2017 MBP? I'm using Windows 10 Pro.

Nice to buy top graded Apple notebook and dont have turbo boost. :)

I dont know what change but now my MPB do 4093 MHz in bootcamp. Maybe because I set power plan max performance.

Hi, I set High Performance mode at power options in Win 10. But, the processor never goes up to 2,97 GHz. Did you update BootCamp drivers too? Regards, Alio.

I'm having the exact same issue in boot-camp; Turbo Boost simply doesn't work and the processor maxes out at 3.1Ghz.

Speeding up for your particular numerical calculator you can do better by having installed the maximum Ram amount and then create a "Ram Disk" of about 1/2 or 1/3 of the Ram.

Really! Yes increases your swop file "RAM", that is virtual RAM, but has nothing to do with Turbo Boost control
