Macbook blocked ******@caramail.com

Hi,


My Macbook Pro is blocked by a hacking device. It requires a 6 cases password which I am not able to enter and if I cannot do it, asks me to write to *****@caramail.com.


Could you please help me with that?

Chances are that your Apple ID was hacked (happens a lot lately). After gaining access to that, they locked your Mac with the Find My Mac function: Use a firmware password on your Mac - Apple Support


These instructions can get you out of this, but you'll probably need Apple's assistance with that: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support (also read the last section of the first link).


For future reference: be sure to activate two-factor authentication for your Apple ID: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support


Aside from that also set your own Firmware password as soon as you are able to use your Mac again.

Most cases of computers that appear to be "taken over" by malware are simply never-ending javascript running in a browser window.


If you could close the browser window, you would be free.

Otherwise, If you could Quit or Force-Quit the browser (Command-Option-Escape) you would be free.

Otherwise, if you could shut down the computer, you would be free.

Otherwise, if you emergency power-off the computer (hold the power button for about ten seconds) you would be free.


When starting up again, hold down shift [at the login screen] to avoid re-launching all the same Applications that were open before.


When re-launching the browser, hold down shift to avoid re-opening all previously opened windows.
