Code 0xc0000001 After attempting to boot to Win.10

Hi everyone,

Recently, I decided I wanted to start using Windows 10 on my Mac Mini. I went through with the Boot Camp Assistant, but now I'm stuck on the blue Error Code 0xc0000001 screen in Windows 10. I have tried debugging and bootlogging, but it won't properly load Windows 10 and it keeps putting me on the blue screen. I have also tried Safe Mode, but to no success.

Note: I did this on Sierra

Any help is greatly appreciated, because right now my computer is practically useless for me.

W10 can be installed on your Mac, but Windows Updates are the main culprit. The GPU driver updates should be disabled before the W10 installation is connected to the network.

See How to stop Windows 7 automatically installing drivers as a reference in using gpedit.msc to disallow GPU driver updates.

I'm not quite sure how to do that - is there a special key combination upon startup to use to do this? I've tried a few, but to no success. Hopefully I just am not using the right one.

As for your second question, I'm almost certain that it's anniversary edition.

Alright - I'm currently deleting the windows partition. Turns out that, for whatever reason, the keyboard I was using wasn't registering the combinations I was entering correctly. Thanks for your help!

I'm still wanting windows, however. Is there any possible way that I can get Windows 10, or is that just out of the park? Will I have to settle for Windows 7?

Can you use Windows 10 crashing, but not sure why. as a reference and remove/re-install Windows without the W10 Forced Updates?

Also, are you installing Anniversary Update or Creators Update?

You want to remove the current installation using Boot Camp for Mac: Remove Windows from your Mac , before you go further.

Thank you for this. I tried to use windows 10 on boot camp and it was almost done and the blue screen with the error code popped up and after 40 minutes of trying to find a solution, I was able to use that link and go back to Mac OS

What is the year/model of the Mini? Most Intel GPU minis have issues with drivers that W10 installs/updates after the initial installation. Usually, this code indicates BCD corruption.

The Intel GPU is not properly supported on Mini 2014 by W10. When did the issues start?

How can I get back into the Mac OS, though? Every time I boot up it attempts to boot to Windows, and thus leads me into the infinite loop of blue screen and restarts.
