Core Audio not found

Are you using inbuilt audio, or an audio interface?

If the former, can you hear sound ouput from other applications, like iTunes or Garageband?

Do you have Core Audio enabled in Logic audio driver preferences, and set to the correct audio device.

Try launching Logic with the audio driver turned off (hold control while loading), and see if it loads then.

If not, trash prefs and try again.

So iTunes plays through your sound card Ok?

Run Logic holding down control and select "No" to launch Core Audio.

Go to the Prefs -> Audio Drivers. What devices do you have selected there?

Trash your preferences and try again.

Reinstalling Logic won't affect your plugins.

No to starting up core audio, only the core audio is ticked in
the audio drivers page.

Yes, but what do you have select under the "Driver" flip menu option? - this lets you choose what core audio device Logic should use for audio input and output - you can chooise In-built audio, any of the other sound devices or virtual audio interfaces you may have installed on your system.

Is it set to your Delta audio interface, or something else?

Just to check, are the preferences found in the library?

Gosh, I haven't run Logic 6 for a while. It amazes me I used to like it - it's looks so ugly now... 🙂

In any case, the preferences were reorganised in Logic 7, but it shouldn't be hard to find:

Logic Pro -> Preferences -> Audio Hardware & Drivers

Click the down arrow next to Core Audio to see it's parameters.

Are you trying to say that thanks to my suggestions, after trashing your prefs and re-enabling core audio in Logic with your audio interface selected in the drivers page, that it works now, and you no longer get "core audio not found" messages?

My plugins are not working now(stylus, imposcar, garitan)

Well, is Logic's audio driver turned on? (Core audio ticked, starting Logic normally and playing audio works fine?)

If so, what do you mean your plugs aren't working? Are they not in the plugin list? Do they not start - I need more info other than "not working" otherwise I haven't a chance of helping...

Or maybe I should just start a new post called: "Help - my life's not working" 😉

Run the AU manager and see what it reports on the status of your plugs. Try the "rescan" options.

If you've reinstalled and just copied the component files over, you may need to reinstall the plugins to replace other files they may need and/or copy protection.
