My microphone on my earpods give a muffled sound

I accidently got water on my mic, and whenever I use the mic is gives a cloudy, muffled sound. Are there any solutions? Or will it solve itself?

Hi Seansational ,

I understand that you have gotten some water in the microphone on your Apple EarPods, and now it doesn't record sound very well. I'm happy to provide some help for this issue.

Based on the recommendations in the following article, you may want to go ahead and contact Apple Support :

If your microphone doesn't work

  1. Make sure that your headphones have a built-in microphone.
  2. Check your microphone for blockage, like debris, lint, or plastic packaging.
  3. To see if you need a replacement, try a second pair of headphones. If the second pair works, contact the manufacturer of the initial pair and ask if you need a replacement. If the second pair doesn't work, contact Apple Support.
