As I was doing what MrAliAkbar suggested... It worked when the stupid jack was literally 1/32 of an inch out of the adaptor... This is utterly asinine that it has to be so exact. Anyways thanks to all who tried helping. And problem solved.
I just bought a brand new pair of Skull Candy headphones and when I put them into the lightning adapter on my phone they keep cutting out, much like when you had a CD player back in the day without the anti-skip. It'll play for a split second and then dead silence or depending on the song it will be extremely reduced sound almost a whisper then I'll go back to normal and then It'll go back to being either silent or extremely reduced again. I just bought the headphones yesterday and the phone is about 2 months old. I contacted Apple support and they said it was the headphones. I am currently waiting for a reply from Skull Candy. They are the Ink'd headphones with a mic... anyone else have this problem?

did you tried rotating your headphones aux inside the adapter?
Have u tried the headphonr with other device?
I've actually used two different headphones. But yes I tried them in my computer
Well, the only test left is to try the adapter with different headphone. If it doesnt work means the adapter is faulty.
My pleasure sir, happy to know your problem was solved 😉
Is it the headphones or the adaptor? iPhone 7+
