Question

iPhone does not show all photos when connected to PC.

My iphone 6s plus does not show all the photos on the iphone when plugged into my windows pc. I unlock the iphone and tell it to trust my PC, I then go to folder view and to the DCIM folders which show only 3 of my 1000s of photos. I then open windows live photo gallery and say import where it also shows 3 photos only...

My iPhone is full and I need to clear it. So I need to back up my phone to the pc so I can delete these images off my phone.

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 10.3.3

After clearing more than 1GB of data 3 photos are still only being displayed in folder view and using windows live photo gallery. I have restarted the phone several times and still no improvement. HELP

How long have you left it after clearing some space, sometimes it can take a couple of days to normalise. Have you checked that iCloud photo library is enabled, do you see any photos trying to upload, have you checked at iCloud.com.

After clearing everything off the phone except the photos and videos that I need (freeing more than 6GB) about 15 more images popped up...

iCloud Photo Library is enabled and no photos are trying to upload.

I must wait a few days and see if my photos appear then I guess? ...

I gave up trying all the "fixes" to see all my photos and videos on my PC. I ended up buying Simple Tranfer Pro for $3.99. It finds ALL the photos and videos and I can select at will to download. The only drawback is that it uses your PC browser and wifi and not a cable connection, so it is not as fast as a cable. But it works!

Try freeing up some space on your phone. You might send a hundred or so photos to your PC using another method to get started.

You can only transfer photos in your Camera Roll. If your "1000s" of photos were put there via a sync with iTunes then it would require another sync to remove them.

Thanks. The 1000s of photos are ones that I have taken over the last week so they are all on my camera roll.
