Digital movie code redeemed but not showing up in iTunes

This is the second time this has happened, and both times were from different companies (Paramount and Disney).

I buy a movie with a digital movie code. I go to redeem the code (first by choosing 'Redeem' under the Account menu in iTunes, and enter the code. It accepts the code (the redeem button is grayed out now), but there's no movie in your library.

Both times, when the above doesn't work I go to the company websites of Paramount and Disney to redeem it. After going to the company websites and entering the code, it gives you the option to redeem your copy for their player (Ultraviolet or Disney Movies Anywhere) or iTunes. If you choose iTunes, it takes you back to the Redeem screen within the app and it reacts the same way (enter the code, nothing happens, nothing shows up in iTunes, etc.).

I've already logged out and logged it back in to iTunes.

I've checked in the downloaded items sections.

I can't find anywhere to check for icloud purchases.

These codes were new, taken out of the package by me.

The digital codes entered into the sites now say they've been redeemed.

Both Paramount and Disney say this is an iTunes problem.

My iTunes is updated to the most current version.

This isn't a playback problem; these movies aren't in my iTunes anywhere (purchased, recently added, etc.).
