Trying to connect a macbook pro to personal hotspot, but it's asking for a WPA2 Password. It has never done this before I don't know what the password might be. ANy ideas?

Check Settings > Personal Hotspot > Wi-Fi Password on your iPhone.
You will find the hotspot password there.
You don't want all sorts of strangers hopping onto your hotspot. Use this password.
when one turn on hotspot at least with iOS devices it show what password one should use
so everybody on the bus, train and or boat don't just use your phone for free internet
