From linked Apple article above.
"The new iTunes focuses on music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and audiobooks. Apps for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch are now exclusively available in the new App Store for iOS. And the new App Store makes it easy to get, update, and redownload apps—all without a Mac or PC."
Yep, already sent them a note.
It's annoying - it was fine up until this new version. I'm going to try to restore my old version of iTunes and hopefully that does the fix...
What about getting apps onto your iOS device that are no longer on the App Store, but still function?
The app store is available on the device where you can run the apps.
iTunes U content has been absorbed into podcasts. Not perfect, but it is still there.

I am thinking that they hired some Facebook app programmers, well designers.
I know people without WiFi at home. How they can install apps more than 200 Mb?
Stupid idea, Apple!
Wait until all those people that upgrade to the new iPhone 8 or X
and find out that they will have to wait for their 5-20 gig or more
in apps to download over the internet to their new phones!
Why not just split off the apps portion of iTunes to a separate app like IOS Apps for the desktop? iTunes in no longer bloated, people can still manage their apps and everyone is happy.
I am with Mark on this one.
Agree with Svenborg!!! 😠😠😠
FWIW, if you update to iOS11, the 32 bit apps won't be supported anyway.
I completely agree!
Agreed. I have always hated searching the app store on one of my is devices. And now the thought of restoring to a phone - all those apps individually - is just too much. This is insanity!
Yes totally agree they need a fix for this they should the Mac app store have mobile and mac apps just like window 10 store. Best solution
Hi I tried going into time machine myself and restoring old version of iTunes. Did not work for me. Gives me an error that iTunes can't be modified.
How did you do it?
The problem is music has tiny bandwidth an app can br hundreds of mb. I only get 30gb a month and updates to 6 linked devices eats my bandwid
