Does iTunes 12.7 support FLAC?

iPad Pro 10.5 with iOS 11. FLAC files aren't being recognized in the new Files app. The article posted by Jim is great, but it doesn't seem to apply to the brand new iPad Pros, which is kind of strange given that they're latest/greatest. I posted a separate question hoping for some insight but still no joy.

If you take a look at the specifications of the new iPad Pro and iPhone 7/8/X you will see that the mentioned iPhones have support for FLAC but not the iPad Pro.

It seems that Apple has been disabling the FLAC feature for some/older devices.

iPhones 7 and 8 support FLAC, so iTunes must be able to manage the files.
