This gold is not the same as the series 2 gold which I love! Why would u change their colors! So upset over this. When u say gold on box it should be gold NOT rose gold. Yuck

Yep yep. Same for me. Frustrating is that the Apple website shows a true Gold Series 3. Bait and switch is how I feel. I don't like the silver or black either. Now I'm feeling stuck.

You get a blush gold and not all gold is yellow gold. Apple doesn't sell protector cases.

Why does everyone think that yellow gold is the only gold color?

It is actually more like a blush gold, i.e., less pink than that rose gold. Maybe next year they can do a white gold.

Yes, no matter how you define it gold is a mineral. It is not a color it is just that over the years people preferred yellow gold with white gold way farther back and then many other shades.

I know - I hate it. I was going to buy the new one, but didn't because it doesn't come in rose gold. I'm just going to keep using my series 1 - still works great.
