Every time I attempt to set up home sharing on my iMac to my AppleTV, I receive the following error message: "Home Sharing could not be activated because an error occurred (5599)."
I have logged out of iTunes and logged back in, as one user suggested.
I have restarted iTunes.
I have restarted the computer.
The error message remains regardless of what I do.
Please advise.
iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)
Hello Crimson, I had this same exact issue too and just so happened to figure it out on my own. All I did was go under Account and then chose the option for Authorizations then selected Authorize This Computer I noticed next to authorizations it said 0 so I went ahead and authorized the computer and now it works!
