Anyone else reverting to the previous version of iTunes? 12.7 is a disaster.

Did you have frequent iTunes crashes as well? Using High Sierra on my MacBook Pro. iTunes 12.7 and iTunes 12.6 are crashing here all the time.

In response to the two problems:

1. Set the Mac App Store to alert you to updates and not automatically

install. When there is an update, read the release notes.

It wasn't quite clear enough but raised some red flags for me to dig

just a bit deeper.

As for automatic updates, been burned enough by that when working on

Windows machines and used the same strategy (though Win10 changes that).

2. The App Store in iOS is supposedly revamped in iOS 11. However, I currently

Yes, I have downgraded to iTunes 12.6.2.

Even though I have downgraded, the updates to the apps are not saving and replacing the previous versions in my library. This means that only those apps on my devices have the updated apps backed up.

Don't upgrade if you can avoid it.

Browsing the app store on the large screen of my iMac was much better than browsing on the small screen. I probably won't simply browse for apps anymore. Too bad. They really need to create a way to access the store from the large screen. I wouldn't care if it is through iTunes or not. A website would be fine, but something larger than my iPhone.

I'd like to go with 12.7 but I get the swirling beachball on all my machines. No matter if El Capitan or Sierra ...

Understandable. I'm currently running iTunes 12.6.3.6 and so far having no problems. It handled the latest update to my iPhone without issues and continues to manage apps well. This is the best solution for me. Your mileage may vary.

I'm using 10.13 now does 12.6.2 work with High Sierra because when I tried this before the application crashed on launch. I didn't use appzapper just the console commands.
