How do I right-click on my MacBook Pro

Open system preferences - click on trackpad - point and click check the box of secondary click , then click on drop down arrows and select the desired option .

That didn't work for me but, it did send me to preferences. I've never played with the track pad settings very much. I discovered that mine is set to right, or "secondary" click as Apple calls it, if I tap with two fingers. Very cool.

I have a new 2017 13" Macbook Pro that won't right click. I've set the preferences to do the double tap in the lower right corner, held the control key and tapped and tried a two finger tap as shown in the video. None of these adjustments result in a "right click".

Now what to do I do?

Using the 2 finger tap method as optioned in the Trackpad System Preferences.

One way is to press the Control key as you click the trackpad.

With 2 fingers or lower right corner of your trackpad. Depends on your setting. You can change that from system preferences

Actually the other options are lower right or lower left corner, but by default it is for 2 fingers.
