Disable autoplay video in iOS 10 Safari?

I know the terminal fix in Mac OS but I thought Apple was going to include this in iOS 10? I've now upgraded before the servers become all 11, all the time but am unable to find the kill switch in Safari Settings.

I see in the advanced window "web inspector" can be enabled by connecting the phone to my Mac and I seem to remember a way to use this but can't find that info again after a thorough search.

Would someone kindly spell out the steps to disable autoplay videos in iOS 10 Safari? And yes, I already have another browser installed as well as an ad blocker but I prefer Safari for general use. Furthermore, I don't want to block ads from sites I want to support, just autoplay videos.

Thank you in advance to this wonderful support community!

I would like to know this as well. My old iPhone 6+ running iOS 10 didn’t autoplay videos in safari. This is eating up my data! I am running an iPhone X now with iOS 11.1.1 and I cannot find an options to stop autoplay in safari. I am also running third part addons that are failing at this task as well.

Thanks, Rysz, for taking time to respond. However, I don't want tobupgrading to 11 at this time as I like others to work out any kinks. iOS history is riddled with bricking, wifi failure, battery issues, etc during early weeks of releases.

Does anyone know how to disable autoplay via connecting the phone to computer and activating the inspector or developer panel? I'm pretty sure I saw this somewhere but can't find it again. Thank you again to the. community.
