From the Apple Keynote, it wasn't very clear if iPhone X's FaceID will work out of the box with third-party apps which are currently using TouchID?
Do all third-party apps currently using TouchID have to update their apps to use FaceID taking a lot of time in the process as was the case when TouchID when it first came out.

In a nutshell, Face ID will “just work.” Thanks to the way Apple implemented Face ID in iOS 11, any app that currently makes use of Touch ID for authentication will automatically work with Face ID. There will be no work needed on the developer’s part, so users won’t have to wait for Face ID to work with their favorite apps."

Eg: JP Morgan took 3 years to integrate TouchID into their app to login.
Similarly, will they have to put in efforts in developing compatibility for FaceID as well? or will FaceID work seamlessly for all previous TouchID enabled apps?
