Have you tried a reset?
iOS Reset -
With an iPhone 6S and lower, press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the device, it is similar to rebooting your computer. With an iPhone 7, press & hold the Power and the Volume Down buttons.
iOS has had APFS since iOS 10.3.
True, my bad. Though I find it strange every heavy file access or read/write causes heavy batt drain.
Mine is not draining like all 6plus. I turn off Background App Refresh. See if that works!
I’m going to try this one!
this reset/reboot has not helped. This draining battery is very unproductive, battery looses 3% just looking at settings. There needs to be a solution.
Did you try any of suggestions in the link i listed a few lines up? I had pretty good success with them.
Reset did not work for my iPhone 6. Nor did restore.
I did find that changing some settings like turning background app refresh, seemed to help
Turn off bluetooth. That drains a battery fast. It's a start.
I tried Dah-veed’s and your solutions with your’s working. Like you said it’s not perfect.
Does anyone know if Apple are actually doing something about this?
User Dah-veed said that he tested a beta of 11.1 and there was no battery problem
That sounds a bit like good news.
Oh me too
When will we get that update ... my phone loses a full charge after 1 1/2 hours...
It is a safety feature to prevent a battery from being overcharged.
