Notes app crashes with iOS 11 on iPad 10.5" 256gb 2017

Please do. It doesn't fit with what Apple ordinarily tells us to do to fix a problem like this. I personally don't get how a delete and reinstall fixes an iCloud problem but heck, let's see if it works long-term. I will say that with iOS 11.2.2, Notes may work perfectly for a few days and then (e.g., yesterday, grrrrr) blow up on me.

I am also having trouble with Notes freezing up on my iPad and on my iPhone 7 since my update to iOS 11.

I have the exact same problem with iOS 11.0.2, I use notes app to work but since update it was a nightmare, I hope a soon update fix this

Same here, update my ipad to ios 11.0.3 and note still crashing. I dont think it is palm related because sometimes i cant even open note app without app not responding. I hope they fix it soon

Same issue on same device. entering notes into Notes app with pencil, crashes. Repeated many times. Force quit and ipad restart didn’t help.

Interesting tip; turns out my Zoom settings have been 'off' the entire time and I still have the lag issue. Unfortunate.

I’m having this issue as well, running IPad Pro 2017, 512GB, iOS 11.0.3

This makes the app unusable at this stage as I‘ve had to ask Clients to pause a briefing while I wait for notes to unfreeze. I can imagine this would be a problem for students as well trying to keep up with the lesson. For a simple note taking app with only one pen, one pencil and a highlighter available (I’m assuming so the app stays simple and hassle free) this unfortunately kills it.

My iPad details are:

OS: IOS 11.0.2

iPad pro 256 GB

Apple Pencil

It has been 3 weeks now since I reported my problem(s) to apple, no solution yet.

I restored my iPad to factory settings through iTunes, setup as new iPad and did not restore any backups. That did not fix the problem.

Apple exchanged my apple pencil with a new one. That also did not fix the problem.

I am having the same issue in; Apple Notes, Affinity Photo, Notability, and Procreate.

I also did not have any issues when using IOS 10.3, only since updating to IOS 11 have I experienced the issue.

I would recommend, if you have not already done so, creating a case with apple support with your problems. They recently told me that they had not heard of any other user with the same issue. I since contacted them and provided a link to this forum posting.

I have just updated to 11.0.3, the issue is still unresolved.

I don't think it is palm detection related, it just happened to me in Apple Notes, without my palm on the screen.
