backslash character missing

In my macbook pro running El Capitan, with english keboard but Spanish-iso configuration the back slash does not show up with any combination of alt-ctrl-cmd etc... Is there any alternative way to imput a backslash in mac-os?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

You could set up a shortcut for this character in system prefs/keyboard/text/replace with, or make a custom Spanish keyboard with an app like

(Users who have an Apple Spanish hardware keyboard have no problem, because it has one key more than the US keyboard. On that \ is on the topmost leftmost key with option.)
