No resting heart rate

Ive updated my series 1 to os 4. Cant see resting heart rate. Anyone having same issue. Also my heart app on my watch app on the phone is gone

Which series 1 do you have? I have the First Gen series 1 (manufactured up to Sep 16) and I don't have this either. If you look at the feature highlights:

It does say:


Heart Rate

  • New visual graph showing all-day heart rate
  • New heart rate measurements and visual graphs for resting rate (Apple Watch Series 1 and later), walking average, workout average and high, recovery time, and sessions in the Breathe app
  • Option to be notified if your heart rate rises above a specified threshold while you appeared to be inactive for a 10-minute period
  • Current and historical details of heart rate data in the Health app on iPhone, including new Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and VO2 Max data types


Looks like Apple have started to cull the First gen Watch already, at 2 years old. Poor show Apple, poor show. That's Tim Cook's leadership for you though. Yes, they cant support every device for ever, but 2 years, man that's a short shelf life for a £300 + device.
