Safe Note app after iOs 11 Update

I just upgrades my ios on my 7+

After doing so my app "safe note" does not work.

It says the developer of this app needs to update it to work with iOS 11

It then says this app is not currently available in the store. Contact the app developer for more information.

#1 I have no idea who the developer is

#2 I used this to store ALL of my passwords for EVERYTHING

Is there anyway I can get the information out of this app?

TY!!!!!

This is my solution for our problem with safe Note v3 in iOS11.

1. Download iPhone BackUP extractor (demo version);

2. Select the BackUp containing your SafeNote (the last working backUp for me, created before updating to iOS 11);

3. When iPhoneBackUP extractor terminates the scan, Select SafeNote in the list of APP present in your BackUP;

4. The number of file and Database recorded in Safe Note will be displayed (see figure attached);

User uploaded file

5. Select "All databases: Extract 1" (the free version of "iPhone BackUP extractor" allow you to extract limited number of files. We need the only one I indicated)

6. The "iPhone BackUP extractor" will save the following file (for example on your desktop): "\library\ProvateDocuments\CoreDataNotes.sqlite"

7. You can open this file with TextEdit and you can browse it in order to recover your password, otherwise you can download the software (freeware) "DB Browser for SQLite" [Releases · sqlitebrowser/sqlitebrowser · GitHub] and Browse data fo database and export every note saved in Safe Note in a natty way.

I hope this helps everything have my same problem.

There is a way to downgrade back to ios 10.3.3 but downgrading IOS did not get the app back.

Safe Note was working fine under 10.3.3 but even when I did downgrade the IOS back to 10.3.3 and then restoring an backup on 10.3.3 the app did not come back. I think that backup does not actually back up the app and has to get the app from the app store. So when restore tried to get the app from the app store and the app was no longer available the app disappeared from my iphone even though it was running 10.3.3.

I noticed that I also lost another application under 11 so after reverting to 10.3.3, I did get one of them back. So reverting to an earlier IOS version does restore some apps.

I may have lost more apps but did not check to see whether all my apps came across. I probably will not go to ios 11 at the moment.

Apple should have warned the user on their device before upgrading that these apps on the device cannot be migrated to IOS11 at the moment and don't do it unless you do not mind losing the apps. Shame on apple for their attitude that they can do what ever they want and we have to suffer the consequences. Apple knew that this would be the case but ignored their hundred of million of customers.

I spent many hours trying to get the app back, restoring to the previous ios version and many more trying to get my passwords private info back. Some info will probably never be retrieved.

This just happened to my wife this morning when her phone updated overnight. She now has lost access to her passwords and other info. I use Notes app in iOS and lock them. Sadly, she did not.

I spoke with Benny of “Safe Notes” and his app is different from Safe Note. The other developer is incommunicado from what I can see and those using it are screwed. So sorry.

If you have not yet upgraded your iPhone 5 to the New iOS 11 then your Safe Notes app should still be working fine just as well it has been. Make sure you write down (paper and pen style) all the data you have in your Safe Notes app.

Use the safe note app feature that lets you send an email back up copy of all the Safe Notes data. Be sure you don't choose to send the data encrypted, if encryption is offered DON'T encrypt the data before you send the email.

The email when if arrives, will have a file in it that you can drop into the Stuff it Expander app. Just change the .safenotes suffix to .zip as mention further up in this dissuasion thread. Dropping the file into Stuff it expander will show you all your data. Because Safe Notes won't open on my iPhone any more if can't verify if Safe Notes offers you the choice to encrypt you data prior to sending the back up. If it does offer this choice DON'T choose to encrypt the data.

I am now using the Apple "Notes" app using the iCloud feature that Notes app offers. It updates across all my Apple devices that has the Notes app. Also I'm using the 1 Password app which work very well, the learning curve is just a little steeper. Good Luck.
