Using Apple TV in the Caribbean

I need to move to the Caribbean region and I know the Apple TV "catalogue", just like Netflix's, changes depending on the region one connects from.

How can I find out how much the move will affect the availability of movies and programs I will be able to access? What will be the limits to it? Will I have to wait longer for the latest releases? Is there a list of non-available products comparing the US/EU markets to the rest of the world region-specific?

All in all, does it make sense to have an Apple TV in the Caribbean, or the difference in available products will make it useless?

Thanks

No matter where you are, you can use the region your Credit Card or iTunes cards are purchased from.

No, you can't, read what you agreed to when you licenced the content through iTunes, before making statements of that kind here. If you license content from the US store (for which you need a US credit card) then you can only download that content from the US store.

This means you can load it on your iPad when you go on a holiday to France and watch it from the iPad when you get there, but you can't take your Apple TV with you and stream it from the French store, nor can you start downloading anything to the iPad if you get to France and find you forgot something.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I am an Australian living in Moscow for the last year. I have been happily using Apple TV on my Australian account linked to my credit card.....until tonight. My Apple TV updated automatically and I've lost all my purchases. All the content, except for Netflix, is now in Russian. Considering I dont speak Russian and can't access anything I have purchased legally in Australian dollars, I suppose I am going to resort to other means....Well done Apple, you just lost a customer who has been with you since the first Mac in 1984. Yes I bought the 128k model. Bye
