AirPort Extreme maybe overheating
AirPort Extreme has blinking amber light and states that it maybe overheating
AirPort Extreme 802.11n (5th Gen), iOS 11
How old is the AE? Which model?
It is fairly common problem on latest model as they use a fan.
Is the fan roaring or not making any noise at all?
Is it actually not to touch?
Most important is it in warranty?
If it is between 1-3years do you have Applecare on a computer, iPad or Apple TV. If so take it to apple for replacement.
