Spinning wheel next to WiFi on iPhone

yes I did power down my phone and it only temporarily stopped it. Asking Siri question is a much faster solution to shutting down and then restarting the phone.

Hi I am having the same issues, updated my software, nothing running, and the spinning wheel in the top left just doesn't stop. I have done all the reboots, and even wiped the phone and did a full restore.

i have this issue since yesterday . i am using ios 11.1.2 my iphone 6s constantly has the 'spinning wheel' issue after 1 or 2 mins i turned off internet data wifi. it didnt worked for me . i have reseted netwrork settings its didnt worked either. i have used hard reboot it didnt work using either home button n power button. i em fed up its a pain in my ***.. please resolve this issue or tell us how to resolve it.

Mine is iphone 6s, I had this issue since today morning ~ it kept black screen & spinning wheel & returning to "enter password" page! i couldn't even type a proper whatsapp message or view a internet page. it just constantly happens!

Actually i updated to ios11 2 weeks ago, & i updated to latest version of IOS 11 just now after i had this problem. But the problem still doesn't go away! i turned my iphone off now,since this problem really heats up the iphone itself.

Come on iphone! don't make me smash you onto the floor~ this bug is just so stupid!

And it really annoys me since i'm not a heavy smartphone user! i don't even use iphone to play games or listening music !!!

Sorry this did nothing, holding down the volume down button and the right side button simultaneously. Did not shut it down. I have the 6S+ so maybe it’s a different sequence? The constantly spinning wheel is annoying and worrisome.

In your situation, it appears it fixed it as it was a networking issue- either cellular or WiFi. Resetting network settings resets ALL settings related specifically to your carrier and ISP.

Seriously? If there is one thing that Apple Customers are good at it’s restarting our devices at the first sign of an issue. I find it appalling that someone would even suggest that as a course of action to correct an issue.

Wow. That actually worked. This must be the first time ever that I’ve tried something I’ve read here on this forum and it worked first time out of the gate.

Now if we can only figure out what is causing this.

Thank you ervau! I’ve had this problem for the past several months, have researched it & tried many fixes. Yours is the only one that has worked so far. (Tip: I left my phone off for about 2 minutes before turning it back on.) Keeping my fingers crossed that this fix will be permanent, but not holding my breath. 😊

Unfortunately, as it is not a wide spread bug and cannot be fixed by restarting the phone, I still think this would be your best option!

I’m having the same issue. I’m an iPhone pro and I cannot get it to stop!

I have actually done that several times. Doesn’t fix it for long. Comes right back
