I want to delete a mail account from my iPhone
With the new operating system (iOS 11) settings no longer has a line to add or delete mail accounts. You can add an account on mail but not delete one. Any ideas??
iPhone 6, iOS 8

Yes you can. Settings>>Accounts and Passwords>> select the account you want to delete. Click on DELETE ACCOUNT at the bottom.

Hi. If the account is created by a Profile (typical Exchange account, e.g.), you need to delete the Profile. Find it in Settings > General > Profiles, near the bottom of General. Tap on it, and delete it.
Hi Upstate_NY_Jim. You may have installed a Profile along with the app. Go to Settings > General, scroll to the bottom and look for Profiles. If it's there, tap on the Profile and select delete.
If I’m understanding your question correctly then look at the reply above from Diana McCall. Go to settings>General>profiles and delete from there. It worked for me. Good luck.
If you click on the account name in the Accounts and Passwords section, you should get a new screen with details. There is a button on the right that you can turn off. This inactivates the email account.
You probably need to talk to your Exchange Server admin.
Thank you guys. I need to delete 3 mail accounts from all my devices, but I can't do it in my iPhone 6 iOS 11.0.3, since it says "this account created by a profile". I really need to delete this accounts, since they are sending the old password and I'm being blacklisted on my own mail server. I deleted those accounts from my iMac, but my iPhone doesn't noticed! Putting them to sleep won't solve the problem.
Any ideas how to really get id of this accounts on my iPhone? I need to create them from scratch, in my iMac.
Thanks in advance
Thank you very much! I don’t click on things I don’t want & I still had this Daily Free Samples added to my phone. It even added its own separate account that I could not delete. Talk about being in a panic. I was able to inactivate it but that was all. Thank you for the answer to how to DELETE it off my phone. Thank you so much!!!
I can see the "Delete Account" for my gmail accounts, but not for my Exchange accounts. Hmm...
Thank you very, very much!! It did worked fine.
I have some wether app that was installed. When I select the account, there is NO delete account at the bottom of the screen. How can I delete it?
Thank you, problem sorted
Thx it worked for me.
