Apple Notes keeps crashing in iOS11

This problem is seemingly related to Apple‘s decision to slow down the iPhone/iPad? With that being said, might a battery replacement fix this issue? I have +2300 notes and wish to preserve them at any cost, opinions are welcome!

I've been using notes most of the afternoon. I have the latest betas installed on my iPhone, iPad and iMac. Everything is working better that it ever has - I've added new notes to the iMac and they've synced to the iPhone within 30 seconds or less. Some of the notes have been a little complex - copied and pasted screenshots. I just amended a complex note by adding a small table within the note, and the modified note was updated from the iMac to the iPhone within 30 seconds.

I have around 400 notes, many of them imported from Evernote about 6-12 months ago. I have the notes sorted into about 30 folders & subfolders. Contents include webpages, screenshots, tables, photos, info from excel spreadsheet, pages docs, etc. I don't believe Notes can work any better than it has today.

I just located my iPad, opened it for the first time today, put in my PIN#, opened Notes, and by the time it was open and I scrolled down, the new notes were just there! It just WORKS and SYNCS on all three devices! Can we dare believe that Notes is fixed?

Today is Jan 7. I saw that you were successful at getting Notes to work. I have an iPhone X, an iPad Pro and a Mac. I only tried Notes on the iPhone and iPad. It is still crashing. I have over 1200 Notes and according to my phone, I have the latest update. What did you do to correct the problem?

Sad indeed. I’m no longer going to pay a premium for Apple products if they aren’t going to support their packaged software. It’s been +90 days and no acknowledgement from Apple over said problem?! Outrageous! Steve Jobs would roll over in his grave if he knew how lousy Apple has become. They have billions of $$$ cash on hand and they’ve forgotten their loyal customer base...and slowing down iPhones too?! What BS! I’m outta here!

Since I upgraded to the latest beta (11.2.5), I’ve had the crash occur less frequently, and with less duration than before. I’m hoping this signals the beginning to the end of this problem. Maybe by the time they roll out the full release of this update, it’ll be taken care of.

I used Notes to import the Evernote export. I also just upgraded to 11.2.2 and am still seeing significant issues. I've been very happy using Evernote again—they fixed a few of the problems with their iPhone app that used to bother me. Cold load time could still be improved though.

After spending hours st the Apple store Genius Bar- we thought my notes crashing issue was resolved but of course it wasn’t. I was going to restore the phone to factory settings losing all text messages- when I came upon this thread. Thankfully I didn’t do that but I guess I’ll be using Evernote until they resolve this.😩

Yikes! This is still a big problem that doesn't seem to have any resolution on the horizon. I rely on Notes a lot! If it's not reliable, well, I may need to move on. *****. It's been so great for so long. Sigh

1. Lightening cables and dongle forced transition and with ridiculous costs!

2. Loss of iPhone headphone jack and ridiculously expensive wireless headset option

3. iPhone slow-down BS!

4. +3 months of Notes problems, not adddressed by Apple , no solution either!

I'm having the same issue ever since iOS 11 update. Notes freezes every single time I attempt to browse, open, or modify notes, rendering the app unusable. Incredibly frustrating. Trying to be patient. C'mon Apple, please acknowledge and fix it please!

Notes:

1. Only having the problem on my iPhone X. No problems on my iPad Pro or Mac.

2. I have approximately 2,400 notes. Not sure if large number of notes is relevant?

3. I tried unsync/resync in notes and a complete reload.

4. Running latest 11.2.2 release.

I was hoping 11.2.5 will fix it. Caddy3 has 5000 notes and the updates working, jfb72jax has 2500 notes and yours is still crashing.

Come on Apple. Has anyone put a bug request in and linked this thread?

Seems like my Apple notes works best in the morning, less so later in the day. Later in the afternoon and evening it gets slower and balky. After midnight much better. I also see the same thing with Siri. Most of the time she works flawlessly in the morning for me, but in the later afternoon Siri can barely understand English much less answer a question.

I wonder if it’s more an issue with congestion in Apple's servers? Different days of the week and different times of the day, and different areas of the country using different Apple cloud servers might account for the inconsistencies?

Disabling icloud/wifi to get rid of lag may cause more issues. I suspect the cause of this is the sync between icloud/mobile and desktop. making sure in 3 places this is all up to date takes a lot of work, especially if you have lots of notes. I'm hoping Apple are reading. If we make enough noise, they will!
