Comedy Central not loading on Apple TV

I too had a sorta similar problem with the Comedy Central App on Apple TV (i think 3rd Gen? w/ siri remote). Easily fixed it by simply deleting and reinstalling the app. Easy, but worked for me!

What happened to me was...

Comedy Central app stopped working for no apparent reason. When opened, all I could see was a completely gray screen and nothing else. All other apps continued to work just fine, only Comedy Central was totally gray. Episodes in the TV app would lead me to the same gray screen. At the same, same exact problem also occurred on our other Apple TV in another room. So we figured it was likely something's wrong on CCs end. Even after a tvOS update the problem still continued. But after deleting and reinstalling the Comedy Central app on both units, they both work normally again.

Same issue here and I'm on the 4th general iOS 11.2. Finally found a quick fix. Go into iOS app settings and click on Comedy Central, then deny the app access to your cable subscription information. Reload comedy Central and it should allow you to sign in the old fashion way.

Try deleting the Comedy Central app and then reloading it.

Ok, then it’s likely an issue with the app and it would be the developers responsibility to fix it. Best to provide feedback to them.

There hasn’t been an update to the 3rd gen in quite some time, and as it’s discontinued there wouldn’t be any further.

I would contact Comedy Central if there is an issue with authorization.

Same behavior. Apparently this app still works with the prior Apple TV. I assume the app needs an upgrade to work with tvOS 11. I have the same issue with FoxNow.

That shouldn't be the case, please let the developer know so they can look into it

The OP has a 3rd Gen, which doesn’t have apps and doesn’t run TVOS

I too have the problem and it is occurring on my brand new Apple tv 4k.
