iOS11 using so much storage

I upgraded my 6s (128 GB) to iOS11 to sync with the new watch and I noticed my phone running very slowly. I also got a notice that my phone storage was full. When I checked the storage I noticed the system is using 49 GB of storage. Prior to the update, I had about 65 GB of storage available. Unfortunately I can’t get any details on what in the system is taking up all my storage but I didn’t have this issue until I upgraded OS. How can the system functions be taking up so much space on my phone?

Try to switch off iCloud Drive on phone. It helped me.

I have the same thing with my 16GB iPod Touch, the ‘System’ is taking up allmost 10GB of that!

Try to remove deleted photos,for me ,the system storage went from 7 gb to 4.

So accurate. My iPhone is an 8Plus with 64GB of capability and the “System” is using 11GB. I don’t have storage left and I consider this as a problem.

If it isn’t WhatsApp or it you go to date and time and put it a few years ahead it should clean half the unnecessary giga
