Step 4 is the most important step as this is the part where you want to reinstall iOS without erasing your data. After this is done test your Camera App and see if the issues persist.Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again
- Make sure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.
- If iTunes is already open, close it. Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, borrow one from a friend or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for help.
- While your device is connected, force restart it with these steps:
- On an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Then press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Finally, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery-mode screen.
- On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery-mode screen.
- On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery-mode screen.
- When you see the option to Restore or Update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data. Wait while iTunes downloads the software for your device. If the download takes more than 15 minutes and your device exits recovery mode, let the download finish, then repeat these steps.
- After the Update or Restore completes, set up your device.
Hi There,
I've experienced the same issue after upgrade to iOs11 on iphone 6s. I've carried out a full restore but the issue remains or the rear camera not working nor the flash / torch.
I've tried to update as per above again but I'm not having any luck. Any ideas?
thanks
Darren
Same issue with me in Iphone 7 256Gb.
I have tested the same exact picture in my iphone and in another iphone 7 (with same exact settings) with ios 11.0.3 and the differences are clear.
I have lost quality in my pictures, and all seems blurry.
Before Ios 11 I did not had this issue.
Me too - on iPhone 6. At least since the latest iOS 11 update, I notice blurry pictures (in distance more than 1-2 meters).
This is nasty, since I no longer use any other camera. I also checked the lense for dust or finger prints... this didn't seem the root cause.
Before upgrade to iPhone 11, My iPhone 6 rear camera worked perfectly. When iOS 11 came out, i waited, thought iOS 11.1 should be stable enough to upgrade, how wrong! After upgrade to iOS 11.1, the screen looks very dark especially under day lights, pictures severely under exposed. Recovery does not work. This upgrade render the camera useless.
To keep my faith in Apple’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, I hope some engineers at Apple is working on a fix of this issue for iPhone 6 users.
Thanks

I have the same problem i went to lab to try to fix it they changed my camera hardware 7 times but the focus issue still there... I would downgrade my IOS 11.x to lower version my phone is manly used for camera pictures... more than for calling!!! Going to find other options
Experiencing the same problem/issue as everyone else. Problems with the camera didn't occur immediately after updating but more likely after a month.
Symptoms - black screen after opening OEM camera app (front camera works), flashlight no longer functions. Tried reset, factory restore, etc., no luck. Strangely, the camera DOES work with one third-party camera application (Camera +) but the photos taken with that app do NOT appear in the photostream. I can only view/open photos taken with Camera + within the application itself.
After no luck resolving with an online Apple rep, I have an appointment to bring to an Apple store on Monday, 1/8 and will provide an update.
I also see this issue, haven't found any fix yet including hard reboot, factory reset or restoring from iCloud backups...
I got the same problem on my iphone 8 plus too =(, the camera works fine after i did the factory reset, but after I restored my backup the pictures I've taken became blurry as per Olly56.
I have the same exact problem after updating as well. I have a 7 plus.
Try to shake the phone while the camera is on.. it solved my camera for few minutes than I need to shake again to get better picture I hate this bug!!!
Mine too, it just becomes blurry! I regret the day I upgraded to IOS11.😫
Ios 11 ****** up my iPhone 6 camera completely i need to hit the phone on the table to get it work otherwise the pictures are getting blurry... I loved my iphone now i hate it!!!!!
