iOS 11 on iphone 6s acting slow and weird

Has anyone else been experiencing issues with their iPhone 6s? Ever since I updated to iOS 11 my phone has been acting weird and slow. Just wondering if it was just me or if others are getting the same issue.

I've had problems with slow switching between apps and the home screen. There will be a delay in switching when I hit the home button or I'll have to hit it a second time to get the phone to respond. Sometimes text from one app will overlay on another one when switching as well. These problems weren't apparent in iOS 10. I just found a link suggesting turning off background app refresh. Setting>General>Background App Refresh. This seems to have sped things up a bit, but I just turned it off, so I'll need to see how the phone responds after using it for a day or so. I've noticed the battery drain as well. I can see how Apple may have been anxious to release this iOS version without sufficient testing on phones, especially those that are several years old. I've also made an effort to quite applications that I'm not using regularly, however, I never used to need to do that.

I have an iPhone 6s and since the major update to iOS 11 and its subsequent smaller updates my phone has been way under par. It is slow, lagging, my notifications all come up at once and then freeze and I have to do a hard restart. My apps freeze, my texts switch to landscape and i can't get them to right themselves, battery drain is horrific and so on and so on and so on. With every smaller update Apple put out in the past fews days, I was hoping that things would improve - but sadly the updates seem to be more for the iPhone 8 users. Very disappointed in Apple for the first time in 10 years 😠

I'm finding the performance of my 6s extremely unacceptable after the iOS 11 and 11.0.1 updates. All apps are slow to respond, and Apple native apps seem to be the worst culprits. Mail is almost unusable. It hangs up whenever I open the app, and I have to restart it multiple times a day to get it to be responsive again. I'll often archive an email, and it immediately shows back up in my inbox. The phone app tends not to show my latest voicemails. I have to restart phone app to get the missed calls/voicemails to show up correctly. Everything is just frustratingly, doggedly slow.

The battery hit is major, not as minimal as others are reporting. I had the battery replaced early this summer under warranty because I had a faulty unit that would shut off unexpectedly. For a relatively new battery, I'm way too reliant on my portable charger. I have to recharge multiple times a day to keep the phone from dying.

With these issues and the un-inspired flagship phone designs, this is the first time in 10 years I'm seriously considering an android phone. Hoping for something compelling from the Google Pixel 2 announcement. Apple's hardware and software ecosystem isn't what is used to be. The one thing I like is their commitment to privacy and security. That's the ONLY thing keeping me from going Android...because I'd rather not be tracked by an ad company!

like it will just stall and lag, also most apps are not working or it will randomly restart. Also gets stuck on screens a lot it never did that before. It all started today where when I bring up like messages or try to reply to Facebook messages or tinder(ugh I know) it just stays on the screen for like 10 minutes then shuts off my whole phone. Even when altering the settings it just lags when trying to scroll or select anything. My battery has drained WAY faster too. I looked up things to turn off. I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing like lagging or almost like freezing issues with the new iOS.

I have a 6s and just updated today. Not all but a few apps have been really slow. About Half the time Apple Maps launches and just shows a blank white screen for a few minutes then goes back to the home screen. Exact same issue with Safari and Apple News. Even quitting the app or restarting the phone and lunching the apps doesn’t fix it. Plus overall performance seems slower.

My phone isn’t full either, I hardly have any apps, no music and not any pictures at the moment. There isn’t any reason it would be slow aside from his update breaking some things.

Anger. I have spent several thousand on Apple products. And every since the update to iso 11 my 6+ iphones hav been acting like an old iPhone 3 or something (slow). I don’t care what is going on behind the screen. If it intentionally slows my performance from the flash to snail mail then the update *****. ANd this iso 11 update *****. So yes I am very angry.
