I have a MBP mid-2012 upgraded with 16gb ram and 500gb SSD.
I have it loaded with many apps including
MS office 2011
iWork suite
FCP
Toast
Bluray player app
Adobe suite cs6
Java
etc....
What apps will not work after the upgrade ?

Mountain lion on mba 2010 will not upgrade to sierra no matter why I do.
i am a mac user since 1992
the most annoying upgrade by far, but iOSx11 was the smoothest!

Heavens, why risk it? There’s no reason to use Office unless it’s for work, and if that’s important, why use anything unsupported? Cheap and easy to stick with the newer stuff.
You are missing out on speed. If you have a base model of your computer, then your computer is not going to be the fastest. My MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017) has the base components except for the 256 GB storage. When I tried copy large files, it would take usually several minutes. After I updated my operating system to Mac OS X 10.13 High Sierra, copying, compressing, and decompressing large files became much quicker. The new file system is great. Please consider this before refusing to upgrade. Also if you choose to upgrade later in the future when High Sierra is gone, it could be even more of a pain to upgrade than it is now. I encourage to think about this. You can upgrade here.
Yes, I have boot camp dual boot Sierra / Win-10-Pro installed so I am not really worried about MS Office 2011
As Microsoft support will end on any MacOS version when it does.
I am more concerned about my Apple apps.

If Microsoft is dropping support for Office 2011 in October,
it seems pretty imperative to either upgrade Office or find
alternatives.
