I want to know why I can’t remove the dock entirely? I hate this innovation. Apple, what were you thinking? The whole ipad is a dock....And I had a great pic of my kid as wallpaper that is now obscured. PLEASE give us an option to remove the dock entirely.
Turn out you go to settings, then to dock. Switch off tab for showing recent and suggested You can then drag and drop apps that you want or don’t want.
i have it turned off in Settings however the most recent app that I used is still showing. any idea on how to prevent that from happening. i'm using an iPad Air 2 with the latest iOS 11. thanks
Hi ALTACRAIG. The dock has been a feature of iOS for several years, though the floating dock is new with iOS 11. You can suggest changes to Apple by posting at this link: Feedback - iPad - Apple.
Hi Frederick Martello. Just tap and long hold any app until they all begin shaking. Then you can drag apps in and out of the dock. Basically the same as iOS 10, except the hold is longer.
Go to Settings, General, Dock.
Go to Settings, General, Dock to turn off the feature.
No this doesn’t work to remove the dock entirely.
