Delete instead of Archive

Why can I only archive emails in my Gmail inbox whilst I could delete those in my iCloud one?

What difference is there between the 2 terms?

Thanks

Hi there Jamie 01,

It sounds like you'd rather delete the emails rather than archive them for your gmail account. You should be able to change that activity in the settings on your phone by going here:

Settings > Accounts and passwords > [service] > [account] > Advanced > Move Discarded Messages Into:

Choose Deleted Mailbox instead of Archive Mailbox and that should do the trick. Take care!
