Exchange mail not incoming in Mail

Since I updated my MacBook Pro to macOS High Sierra, my Mail app has been acting strange.

At first it synced all my mails (through an iCloud, a Gmail as well as an Exchange account), but today I've not received any more mails on my Exchange account. I'm receiving the mails on my iPhone, so I know it's not the server or anything. Mails are coming in on the other accounts though.

I've tried disabling the Exchange account, removing and re-adding it as well as testing if it sends/receives. When I tried to send a mail from the account to myself (same e-mail address), the app crashed and started looping as in starting with a new message window, crashing again, opening,...

I really don't know what to do because macOS High Sierra is brand new and I can't find anything on the same issue.

If you know a solution, feel free to post it here.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings

Vince

It’s the responsibility of applications developers to update their software in accordance with the operating system, not the other way around. Otherwise any OS would be constantly updating and bugging out and for all intents and purposes be inoperable because it’s trying to accommodate for everything, leading to more conflicts.

I have several exchange accounts, and only one of them isn’t working in this manner. The one that isn’t working is an older exchange server, the others are all more up to date.

Sorry to say, but I doubt apple will get around to fixing this any time soon - if you’re able I’d suggest updating your server software, or at the very least migrating to a different provider running compatible software.

This sort of thing is a pain, I agree. But it also encourages developers and technology to continue to update and improve, over time phasing out older versions.

I talked to our internet service provider. They update their server "aggressively". So, the tech checked to make sure they had the latest updates. He said they do, and that it is an Apple issue. So, I am confused with all of the finger pointing. But, needless to say, my Apple Mail has not worked since the iOS update to High Sierra. It has not worked since October or November. Our email server gets updated frequently. It has been updated several times since November. I have spent countless hours on several phone calls with senior level techs at Apple and with our email service company. My mail still does not work.

After 15 or more calls. We figured it out. Our email server must be upgraded to "Service Pack 3". This helped.......

Seemed to take care of all the problems.

When I previously asked our service provider to update, he mentioned that he updates continuously. For some reason the service pack 3 was not coming up as an option. When I told him the problem with Apple mail needing service pack 3, he looked into it. Found that he could update servers. Now my email works again. Yay!
