WThe IMAP command “UID COPY” (to Trash) failed for the mailbox “INBOX” with server error: UID COPY Command is not valid in this state

Have never had this problem before - upgraded to High Sierra yesterday and now happening with my yahoo account. Not happening with google mail account.

Removing and re-adding the account didn't resolve (after having to re-download every yahoo email)

Not sure if this will help anyone but......

2 email accounts both with BT. One @btinternet.com the other btopenworld.com. Both accounts come into Mac mail on my MacBook Pro.

The BTinternet email provides the The IMAP command “UID COPY” (to Trash) failed for the mailbox “INBOX” with server error: UID COPY Command is not valid in this state message.

Helpful to anyone trying to fix this really annoying problem?

I assume this hasn't been fixed because as of today, Oct. 4, I'm still having the problem. I just updated to High Sierra two days ago on my desktop iMac. Curiously, I upgraded the OS on a laptop more than a month ago and have only sporadically had this problem.

Just updated to High Sierra and can no longer delete my emails on Sky/Yahoo account. Getting the same error message as r191

I tried disabling and re-enabling my Yahoo account and the error persists. ISP is Comcast.

I am having the same problem. It occurred for the first time immediately after updating to High Sierra. It never happened to me before the update. My email is thru ATT.

Yeah I thought it was a stupid idea when Frontier (aka Citizens Communications) decided to outsource their email service to Yahoo, now I am positive it was a stupid idea.

Happened when I switched over to High Sierra, interestingly, I can go to my phone and delete the same message under iOS 11.

I keep getting this when deleting emails to Sky trash - "The IMAP command “UID COPY” (to Trash) failed for the mailbox “INBOX” with server error: UID COPY Command is not valid in this state."

Interestingly my Mail app is now deleting successfully even though I have yet to receive the supplemental update. Thank goodness a fix has now been created.

Looks like they've finally fixed the problem. At least my Frontier email, hosted by Yahoo, will now let me delete emails from the IMAP access. Hallelujah.

Oh dear, getting this when trying to install supplemental update.
