Is the watch comparable with hearing aids

My Oticon OPN 1 hearing aids work when my Apple Watch Series 3 + Cellular is connected to the iPhone, but not when the iPhone is out of range, and connected only to Cellular. Plus, I cannot pair the hearing aids directly to the watch‘s Bluetooth, which is a bummer, because I want the watch phone conversations to go through directly to my hearing aids. 😡. Come on, Apple, fix this! Let us pair our iPhone compatible hearing aids directly to the Apple Watch 3 + Cellular.
