I can no longer send videos or digital touch messages to people with an android phone since I updated to iOS 11. Can someone help me fix this problem?

Is anyone having problems sending android users videos or digital touch messages? Since the iOs 11 update (including iOs 11.1), I receive the "Not delivered" message beside the video or touch message. I am extremely frustrated with this update!!!😠

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.0.1

MMS/SMS is a carrier feature, please contact your phone carrier and let them know you're extremely frustrated that you can't use their service after updating your IOS.

This is not a helpful response. MMS and SMS work with iOS 11. It is only these specific types of messages that aren't sending, and it is only when you try to send it to some Android phones. I've tried multiple users, using different Android models on multiple carriers, and which ones it won't send to is seemingly random. Additionally, the problem went away with a factory reset, clean phone (before an iTunes restore). But who wants a clean phone with nothing in it? No one.

tldr: this is not a carrier problem.

I am having the same issue. I updated to 11 and nothing has changed. I heard that a factory reset from itunes might fix this but I havent currently tested it out. This is not a carrier problem this is an iphone problem. I can still send digital messages from my 5c to android users because it still has ios 10 on it but my 6s will no longer send the messages.

I am also having the same issue. I had the iPhone 7 plus and was on ios 11.0.2. I couldn't send a static digital touch message. I replaced my 7 Plus with an 8 Plus and also am on the latest ios update 11.0.3. I am still unable to send a static digital touch message to an android device. A Google Pixel, for example. I would prefer not to factory reset, but has anyone already factory reset their phone and tried it? I am wondering if ios 11.1 will fix the issue.

I completely understand. I did a factory reset and a restore from iTunes and I am still having the same issue. To me this seems to be an issue with iOS because this problem did not occur until the ios11 update. I would try going to your carrier because anything that could fix this would be helpful. Honestly I am considering switching to an android device at this point but I’m going to speak to ATT first to see if they have any solutions.

Yes please let us know what you find out. I cannot send videos to an android user, but I swear I could just a week or two ago. Not sure if it’s because of a recent iOS update or what, but it sure is frustrating. I also tried to email the same person the same exact video to their email address and it wouldn’t send either. I know for a fact this isn’t a carrier issue as I have spoken to someone with verizon already and they assured me everything was fine and normal on their end.

I just got off with my carrier provider.

They had me make sure the SMS was enabled under settings>messages, that didn't work.

Next step was to reset carrier settings, settings>general>reset>network settings, that didn't work.

They had me shut off my phone and tried resetting it from their end and it still didn't work. While they were trying to figure out what to do next I had a notification pop up that carrier updates were available, so they had me do that and it fixed the issue.

Apple released a press release that they will no longer support droid phones. The effort is to make everyone get an iPhone. What’s perceived as a bug in the IOS is actually to get users to encourage their friends to get iPhones. Apple believes in a closed system in which Apple devices will only Work and speak to other Apple devices. That’s why if you read the thread the users with new iPhone 8’s are having same problem. It’s the same reason all previous models of phone have glitches before a new release. It’s part of Apples planned obsolescence program. We learned about it when I was a Mac specialist at the flagship store in San Francisco. It’s to encourage users to upgrade their phones so that they can benefit from new apps and third party. Apples goal is to be the last man standing so that everyone owns Apple and not android. The resolution is to either switch to a droid phone or buy your friends an iPhone.

I can no longer send videos or digital touch messages to people with an android phone since I updated to iOS 11. Can someone help me fix this problem?
