verifying progress bar on every file.

Hi All,

I upgraded my software today to macOS High Sierra and it now seems whenever I open a file be in media or others I get a prompt about "verifying the file". I just went to use Zipeg and when I went to extract I got the same message again and it took about 5 minutes for the verifying file bar to go away.

Is anyone else having this issue? I'm hoping its a basic setting that I need to turn off but so far no luck in finding anything.

Re Uploaded High Sierra after downgrading back to Sierra and it does appear all is working as it should be.

After trying a few things out while on the phone to Apple Support, we went for an erase of the hard drive and complete reinstall of the OS, which solved the problem.

i've had same problem but i solved. in my case the reason is "Avira". After truing off real time protection of Avira, it was just solved. all file is opened immediately.
