I opened a case with Apple, followed below steps which worked for me.
Installed 11.2 yesterday through phone (don’t upgate through phone).
Steps
1. Take a phone backup on computer through iTunes
2. Restore phone (iPhone 8 Plus) through iTunes In desktop. It was approximately 2.75GB
3. One done, setup the phone as a new iPhone. Don’t restore from backup at this point.
4. Once all the phone setup done, restore the backup taken in step 1.
5. All done... earlier my wifi speed was showing ~8mbps. Now it is showing ~40mbps

i did same step, however, it doesn't help me.
I have done the update to iOS 11.2, Forgotten WiFi Networks and rejoined, shut my iPhone 8 Plus off completely and restarted and still have connection issues. Please help.
And then? Or, are you saying that each time I want to connect to a network I use, I will have to manually connect? How convenient 🤔
I didn’t say to toggle off Auto-Join ! Which makes you have to manually Connect every time ! I said Auto-Login which is used for Captive networks !

Yeah...iPhone 8 and X shares the same connectivity hardware.
Thanks for this - it’s something I’ve done many times in the past knmother phones for various reasons . But have not tried it on this problem. Will do and will download guides as well
