iMovie 10.1 Sharing Error: AVEncoderBitRateKey

Having the same issue too. You can try exporting to a file using the Best (ProRes) option under quality, which works for me, but leaves you with massive file size, then use a 3rd party tool like Handbrake to convert. Annoying, yes, but a workaround until there's a fix.

I was able to get past this by changing the output encoding to prores.

Further to this It looks like iMovie just can't export AAC files. I tried exporting my clip as audio only and it worked exporting WAV AIFF and MP3 but fails with the same error on AAC. I assume this is the audio format it's attempting to export Video in which is likely the problem. Does anyone know if there's a way to change that when exporting Video?

That's true, you can then take the prores mov file and use HandBrake or ffmpeg to convert to mp4. My output file was right at 15Gb, converted to mp4 it was 1.5Gb.

I'm having the same issue. Can't export anything. Tried re-encoding the audio track to multiple different non-lpcm formats and still get this error. Get on this Apple this is a joke iMovie is pretty much completely unusable if you actually want to share anything. 5 Months since this was reported and no real workarounds or Fixes. Get on it!

I have the same problem. Selecting ProRes quality is not an option for me (needs 75 Gb). I hope Apple comes with a fix soon.

My video had 2 audio tracks that I exported from Logic. They were AIFF files.

I have the same issue, but I notice that if you export only video or audio it works... so must be a bug to fix
