When I try and use my phone normally the screen comes up very blurry, you can see it is the most recent contacts black and red, missed calls, etc, just no way to do anything with the screen. I can use Siri and call that way but the other is not legible at all. Anyone have suggestions?

I had this same issue and i was able to resolve it. I double clicked the home button and closed all apps by swiping them to the top. Then i reopened the phone app and it was normal.
So because your issue isn’t affecting most people you cannot make phone calls until the issue becomes more wide spread. That’s ridiculous.
I can’t make calls all and that’s it, no help. That’s just turning me toward android. Less headache.
This problem does not prevent you from making a call. The latest ios may have fixed. Androde probably has issues also.
Great, it solve the problem very smoothly and I discover all apps were open since I bought the phone.

Not sure I like Apples auto-correct spelling. In the post above, it changed ”how many“ to ”hwmany” and “open” to “one.”
Reboot works and doesn’t work

Before you do, I suggest you do some web searches for Android / Samsung issues; they're not perfect either.
